Nine hospitals in Surin and Chaiyaphum provinces are at risk of facing severe water shortages as the drought intensifies. However, the Health Ministry spokesman asks the public not to worry as the water storage for general consumption is sufficient for seven days which meets the Health Department’s requirement. Yet he said the ministry will supply water for those in need, so the shortage will not affect the medical treatment quality.
